Prof. Elsa G. Wilkin-Armbrister
Prof. Elsa Wilkin-Armbrister considers herself a global citizen. Having lived and worked in several countries across the world, she has wealth of knowledge and experience in several areas including academia, the private sector and government. Among her list of expertise are: International Marketing, Research Methodology, Nation branding, Destination Brand Consultant, Diplomacy (Bilateral and Multilateral), Public Diplomacy strategy, Cultural Diplomacy (Middle East, Europe and Caribbean), Digital Diplomacy and Art Diplomacy.
Mrs Wilkin-Armbrister holds Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Marketing and Psychology from Alabama A&M University and two advanced degrees – a MSc in International Marketing from the Strathclyde University in Scotland and a MSc in Contemporary Diplomacy from the University of Malta. She is herself pursuing work to complete a PhD in Marketing with a focus on Nation branding and the impact of public diplomacy strategy as a key success factor.
In the immediate past 15 years, her career has been concentrated in academia and diplomacy. She has held lecturer roles with focus areas of Marketing, Nation and Destination branding and research methodology and has been affiliated with Strathclyde University and Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland; University of Maastricht, Maastricht School of Management and Avans School of International Studies in the Netherlands; as well as, a visiting professorship at University of Monaco.
More recently, Mrs Wilkin-Armbrister has been employed in the foreign diplomatic service of home country holding office of Deputy Consul General at the Consulate of St Kitts and Nevis in the UAE and presently as Minister Counsellor and Deputy Head of mission at the St Kitts and Nevis High Commission in London. Beyond the usual diplomatic work, Mrs. Wilkin-Armbrister is passionate about Art diplomacy for which she organises bi-annual curated art and cultural events promoting her country.
Prof. Elsa Wilkin-Armbrister was born in the Caribbean island of Nevis, part of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, which is the smallest sovereign state in the Western Hemisphere. She is married and lives in London with her husband and daughter.
