Prof. Simon Emeje
Simon Emeje holds PhD in Political Science (Public Policy) from University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, M,Sc in Public Administration from University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria, B.Sc in Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. Professionally, he is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM), Patron Member of the Lagos Aviation and Logistics Institute (PLALI), Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration (FCAI), Fellow of the Courier and Logistics Mamagement Institute (FCLMI), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT), Fellow of African Centre for Supply Chain, etc.
Simon Emeje is the Director of the Nigerian Postal Institute. He was the Head of Courier Regulatory Department, Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) which regulates courier operations in Nigeria, Chairman, Pan African Postal Union (PAPU) Work Group on Postal Policy and Regulation in Africa (PAPU is a continental body in charge of postal issues in Africa), Chairman, West African Postal Council (WAPCO) Work Group on Postal Reform and Network Profitability of the Postal Operator in West Africa (WAPCO is a body on postal matters in the West African Sub-Region—ECOWAS), Chairman, Courier and Logistics Management Institute(CLMI), Chairman, Editorial Board(Journal of Communications and Governance—JOCAG).
He has published a number of books. He has also written several articles in Journals, Magazines, and Newspapers. He has presented many papers on the Post, Courier, Logistics, Postal Regulation, Communication, Leadership, Management, Public Policy, Development, Political Economy, etc in various fora organized by Universal Postal Union (UPU), World Bank, Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Pan African Postal Union (PAPU), West African Postal Council (WAPCO), Royal Mail, etc, in such places as Switzerland, London, Tanzania, Zambia, Cote D’Ivoire, Benin Republic, Nigeria, Tertiary Institutions, Professional Institutes, etc.
Simon Emeje is married to Pharmacist Chizomam Emeje with four children (Ufedojo, Ojoma, Omojo and Ucheojo).
